About me

Henry, born in Haarlem the Netherlands, moves to Heerhugowaard at a young age and hears all kinds of music at home. Classic, pop, rock, jazz, gospel, easy listening. Dire Straits and Rory Gallagher, among others, are very popular with the music of his brothers. In the house there is usually somewhere a ukulele or a cheap guitar from the postorder company . The stringed instrument accompanies him from an early age and with some self-study he tries to play along. From 1981 the New wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) has been rolling firmly into his life. During the eighties he can be found at a lot of rock and metal concerts in his country. At the age of 15, Henry buys his first electric guitar with his father. 

Henry makes his first appearance on stage in the hard rock band Jack-A-Dandy from Heerhugowaard (late 80s / early 90s) and played at various locations in North Holland and as support act for Jewel, among others. They played their own songs but also covers of ZZ Top and Queen. During that period he also took guitar lessons from several people. With the focus on the electric guitar. Jack-A-Dandy quits after a few years and after two gigs with occasional band Fuzzle as part of Waardse Glorie, it becomes quiet on stage for Henry. The love for music remains. 

In 1999 his father dies and he starts wondering what life is all about. His neighbor gave him a letter about Jesus. He bought a Bible and in 2001 asked and accepted Jesus in his life. 

After a long silence from music, he joined the cover band Flashback from Zaandam at the end of 2017 and played there for more than 2 years. Since the beginning of 2020, Henry has joined Blue Flame to focus more on blues and rock music.

Inspirations for this album came from artists like Michael Schenker, AC/DC, Joe Satriani, Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler, The Byrds, Tom Petty, Frank Marino, Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Punk-rock, Santana, Queen.

I would like to thank everybody for listening to my music.
